Spinsonic SEND Sensory Circus

Dudley Parents! Spinsonic Circus SEND Sensory Circus returns with an October half term family fun session at the Black Country Living Museum. We have partnered with the BCLM, Creative Active Lives CIC and Dudley MBC Short Breaks Service to bring Dudley families the opportunity to bring enjoy a relaxed, unstructured family play session for children with additional needs and their siblings and parents/carers to come and play together, and meet new people. Tickets are £3 per child, booking is essential. This session is aimed at families who live in the Dudley area.

We are thrilled to have The Hoop Guy from Britain’s Got Talent with us to teach circus skills and his amazing hula hooping!

Sensory Circus is a unique circus skills play session with the emphasis on playful, creative, unstructured fun. We have a chill out corner with circus play tents, soft cushions and blankets, sensory and fidget toys, books and tunnels.

Circus activities include juggling balls, scarves and rings, hula hoops, poi, plate spinning, pedal goes, starter stilts, flower sticks, balance beam, slackline, walk the rolling drum, and parachute play.

Our instructors hold Enhanced DBS, Emergency First Aid training, Safeguarding training, and are experienced at delivering activities to children, young people and adults with additional needs.

There are accessible toilets within the Museum, and next door the Museum at the Archives a Changing Places toilet is available for our attendees to use.

The session runs from 10am – 12pm in Hall 2 at the Black Country Living Museum. This is a ticketed  event. Entry to the BCLM is not included with the Sensory Circus ticket, however if you purchase a General Admission ticket from the BCLM, it entitles you to free entry for a whole year. Essential Carers tickets and tickets for ages 0-2 are free. BCLM admission tickets can be purchased online or from the Museum on the day.
